Studio 38 is not designed around one photography style; it is designed around yours. The first-floor rental space features approximately 1,500 square feet with exposed brick, hardwood floors, and a flexible layout that adapts to your workflow. The natural light is intentionally controlled, allowing you to shape the environment using your own lighting equipment. 

Whether your style is bright and airy or dramatic and cinematic, the space becomes whatever you create.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you provide lighting?

No. Studio 38 is designed as a flexible rental space where photographers bring the equipment they know and trust. You can also add on lighting and triggers to your rental for an additional charge

 

Can I bring my own lighting? 

Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your preferred lighting, modifiers, backdrops, and other equipment. 

 

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

There are two steps to enter. 

 

Where do my clients park?  

Street Parking is available, along with a parking lot just a few steps from the studio, Ziegler garage 500 feet from the studio or another parking garage right by the light at Central and Sycamore. 

 

Is equipment included?  

No. The rental includes the studio space only, allowing every photographer complete creative control over their setup. You can use the roller system and paper currently loaded, however if you damage it you will be charged for it. You can also use any backdrops that are currently set up in the studio area. During seasonal periods backdrops will remain up and you can hang your own over them on the metal wall or use the stands that are available in the studio.
